My hikes through the Alps

1 – Via Alpina
Coming from the Dinaric Alps, in 2018, I walked from Slovenia to the Dolomites and Bolzano. In 2021, I continued from Bolzano to Menton. It is a superb route with magnificent views of the mountains, picture-postcard landscapes with beautiful peaks, mountain pastures, chalets…. See the page Via Alpina.

2 – GR5
During my Grande Traversée of France in 2020 from Alsace to Hendaye, I walked on the GR5 coming from the GR Balcon du Léman to Mont Thabor before continuing west to the south of the Écrins and through the Dévoluy (for this part see the page Alps to Pyrenees). Then, further south to Menton on the GR5 see the page Via Alpina.

3 – Southern Alps
Coming from the Apennines, I hiked through the Southern Alps via the Mercantour and the Verdon Gorges to Sainte Victoire. See the pages Apennines and Southern Alps.

See also, from Menton to the Pyrenees, via the Esterel, the Maures and the Sainte Victoire, see the page Via Aurelia.

4 – Austrian Alps
In 2019, after hiking through the Carpathians, I continued in two traditional regions of Austria: Styria and Carinthia. The path passes through medium mountains without difficulties. See the page Austria.
